The most common causes of ear infection are bacteria and viruses in the middle ear. Common symptoms are earache, diarrhea, headache, tugging at the ear, poor response to sounds, fluid drainage from the ear, vomiting, problems with sleeping, high fever etc. Children suffer more from ear infections than adults. The ear contains three parts: outer, middle and inner and each part has important role in the process of hearing. The outer ear looks like a leaf and it captures the traveling sound waves. An ear part called pinna enables the sound waves to enter the ear channel. Then the sound waves reach the eardrum in the middle ear, where other important pats are located: hammer, anvil, stir up, semicircular, and middle canal.
